With a whopping 42g of protein per serving and only 2.7g of saturated fats, these creamy chocolate overnight oats will have you satisfied until lunch time and FULL of skin loving goodness.

So what makes them so delicious, yet so good for you at the same time?

Meet Cacao Powder…

Cacao powder is the raw, less processed form of cocoa powder.

Meaning it has a lot less fat and sugar, and a much higher amount of minerals and nutrients.

Cacao powder has one of the highest amounts of magnesium, meaning it can:

  • Regulate cellular regeneration
  • Reduce acne
  • Improving the skin’s overall appearance

One tablespoon of this in your oats and it will give you that chocolatey, creamy taste, without the calories of cocoa powder, and with all the goodness of cacao.

You can grab a bag of this nutrient dense Cacao Powder on Amazon for less then a tenner!

And Cacao Nibs!

Cacao nibs, just like cacao powder, are filled with antioxidants that are going to repair and protect your skin!

These dreamy chocolate drops will increase blood flow to your skin which will clear out your complexion like never before.

If you like dark chocolate, these cacao nibs pretty much taste like little dark chocolate chips in your overnight oats – so yummy!

If you’re not a fan of dark chocolate I’d recommend adding a little bit at a time and building up to a whole tablespoon, the crunch these add still definitely make them worth it, as well as the huge nutritional value!

Chocolate Protein Powder

This is how the overnight oats keep you full for so long – a healthy dose of protein!

There’s plenty of protein powders to choose from out there, but this Gold Standard is low in sugar and fat, getting rid of that insulin spike that normally causes acne.

Feel free to mix up the flavours – there’s thousands to choose from!

But for me this Chocolate Hazelnut flavour trumps them all – I find a lot of protein powders really sweet and sickly when I try them in my oats, however this one has a nice creamy taste, with just a hint of chocolate flavour.

Chia Seeds

These chia seeds may look like you can easily miss them out, but these give the oats a delicious thick and creamy texture, as well as boasting HUGE health benefits.

Chia seeds are a great source of omega 3 which delays your skin aging and overflowing with antioxidants, to boost your complexion.

This 1kg bag off Amazon lasts months, and is great value for money!

Now it’s time to choose your toppings…

Raspberries – The sweetness of the raspberries compliments the richness of the dark chocolate flavour perfectly.

Absolutely bursting with Vitamin C, raspberries significantly increase skin hydration and helps to prevent skin damage from the sun.

Hazelnuts – This chocolate nutty combination is the healthy way to have a nutella flavoured breakfast!

Hazelnuts are full of Vitamin E, which fills the skin with moisture, boosting collagen and delaying aging.

Terrys Chocolate Orange anyone?

With a splash of orange juice mixed into the oats, and a zest of orange grated on top, these give your oats that sweet kick and some extra vitamin C!

Orange zest in particular helps to renew dead skin cells and moisturise dehydrated skin.

Big fan of the Bounty bar? Then this recipe is for you – desicated coconut has next to no calories in, but huge health benefits.

It can reduce inflammation, minimize your pores and prevent your skin from any damage.

Bananas – Chocolate and banana go beautifully together, and bananas are full of fibre that will flush out all of your toxins and prevent acne.

With minerals such as potassium and magnesium these help to nourish your skin from the inside out.
