Haus Labs vs Giorgio Armani
which foundation is worth the splurge?
Armani Luminous Silk has been the best-selling foundation since I can remember.
But Lady Gaga launches Haus Labs and the world stops.
Which one now takes the top spot?
I try them both to find out…

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk

Every single celebrity on Instagram uses the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk and absolutely raves about it.
I’m actually surprised it’s taken me so long to try it.
(At nearly £50 a bottle that might be why!)
Safe to say I had high expectations…
This award winning foundation by Vogue…
Best Foundation, Best Bridal Foundation and Best Beauty Inspiration to name a few
Has light reflecting technology and promises silky smooth results.
I went for shade 5.9 Medium Cool, and used my trusty Hourglass Foundation Brush to blend in.
Here are the Results…
Once blended, I used my normal make up routine to see the finished look.
I was Expecting A Lot More…
It’s like a sheer cover across your skin.
A dewy and yes, glowy finish, but kind of just, underwhelming?
I think I may have hyped this up over the years of seeing it all over Instagram.
It’s just like a tinted moisturiser.
If a natural finish is what you’re looking for, then this is definitely more natural!
Lady GaGa Haus Labs Foundation
This was the foundation I was the most excited to try.
I think because it’s fairly new on the scene, it’s Lady GaGa, and the bottle is quite inviting (just me?)
My one gripe is that it doesn’t have a bottle dispenser.
So you have to unscrew the lid and use the little stick thing.
It’s not the end of the world, but just a small inconvenience I thought I’d point out!
Once I had blended it in, I used my normal make up routine to really assess the finished look.
Here’s what I used:
♦ Rodial Banana Lowlighter (under my eyes, middle of forehead and chin)
♦ Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
♦ Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand (a dewy finish on your cheekbones!)
♦ Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

I was Fully Blown Away
I know I had high expectations, but I didn’t think a foundation could do that.
The coverage was insane.
With still a beautiful and dewy finish.
My skin looked exactly the same 8 hours later, with not a smidge of foundation out of place.
If you like a full coverage, with a dewy finish, this foundation is PERFECT.
I used shade Light Medium Cool, and it gives that lovely tanned warmth without being orange.
The Hourglass foundation brush is the only brush you need to blend in your foundation.
I don’t think I will ever use another method to apply my make up.
