Haus Labs vs Giorgio Armani
which foundation is worth the splurge?
Which one now takes the top spot?
I try them both to find out…
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk
I’m actually surprised it’s taken me so long to try it.
(At nearly £50 a bottle that might be why!)
Safe to say I had high expectations…
This award winning foundation…
Best Foundation, Best Bridal Foundation and Best Beauty Inspiration to name a few
Has light reflecting technology and promises silky smooth results.
Shade:
I went for shade 5.9 Medium Cool, and used my trusty Hourglass Foundation Brush to blend in.
Here are the Results…
Giorgio Armani Finished Look
Once blended, I used my normal make up routine to see the finished look.
I was Expecting A Lot More…
It’s like a sheer cover across your skin…
A dewy and yes, glowy finish, but kind of just, underwhelming?
I think I may have hyped this up over the years of seeing it all over Instagram.
It’s just like a tinted moisturiser.
If a natural finish is what you’re looking for, then this is definitely more natural!
Haus Labs Foundation
This was the foundation I was the most excited to try.
I think because it’s fairly new on the scene, it’s Lady GaGa, and the bottle is quite inviting (just me?)
My one gripe is that it doesn’t have a bottle dispenser.
So you have to unscrew the lid and use the little stick thing.
It’s not the end of the world, but just a small inconvenience I thought I’d point out!
Here’s what I used to get the finished look:
♦ Rodial Banana Lowlighter (under my eyes, middle of forehead and chin)
♦ Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
♦ Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand
♦ Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

I was Fully Blown Away
I know I had high expectations, but I didn’t think a foundation could do that.
The coverage was insane.
With still a beautiful and dewy finish.
Who knew you could get both in one bottle??
My skin looked exactly the same 8 hours later, with not a smidge of foundation out of place.
If you like a full coverage, with a dewy finish, this foundation is PERFECT.
Shade:
I used shade Light Medium Cool, and it gives that lovely warmth without being orange.
The Hourglass foundation brush is the only brush you need to blend in your foundation.
I don’t think I will ever use another method to apply my make up.
