Elemis or Clinique?

I remember the first time I tried the Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm.
My twin sister was bangin’ on about it, and was adamant I had to try it.
I was a loyal Simple wipe kinda gal – having to stand up over the sink and use water to take my make off, when I can just sit on the bed and whack a wipe over my face?
No thanks.
However one Sunday night when I had some extra time on my hands, I gave in and gave it a go.

On every website – John Lewis, Look Fantastic, Boots, the reviews are all 4.5 out of 5 of more.
In fact, I couldn’t find a single bad review…
And for the price (only half the price of Elemis..), I thought this is a no brainer.
I have to give it a go.
It’s Not a Spa Experience
So initially you’re not completely transformed into a 5* spa getaway when you open the lid.
In fact it is completely odourless.
That may appeal to some people…
Bit I did miss the dreamy smell from Elemis.
It Does Take Off Your Make Up
It feels less ‘oily’ than Elemis.
And in my mind that’s the lack of skin lovin’ ingredients.
But I don’t know if that’s actually scientifically correct.
At the end of the day though, (or the cleanse), Clinique does lather up just as well, it does melt your make up off just as good, and after drying my skin with a towel, my skin is just as clean as the Elemis.
